Birmingham, Alabama – Alabama AP Awards-- Best Use of Tape
"Immigration Rally"

Over the weekend an estimated 2,500 people from all faiths and backgrounds joined together in Birmingham for a common cause... to protest Alabama's strict new immigration law. Alabama Public Radio's Ryan Vasquez was there as the demonstrators gathered, and produced this "sound portrait."
