Interfaith Community Festival
Interfaith Community Festival
This free event will include live music, a petting zoo, a bouncy house, chair yoga and more in a family-friendly atmosphere. Exhibitors will provide a broad range of health information, private consultations, and services, including an American Red Cross blood drive. Multiple food trucks will be onsite to offer a variety of foods and drinks for sale.
Interfaith Montgomery Treasurer Rev. Shane Isner says: “We had such a great turnout at our New Year’s Interfaith Service that we believe our community is anxious to support more cooperation among diverse neighbors.” People of all backgrounds and faiths - or no faith - are encouraged and welcome to attend.
The purpose of this community festival is to strengthen individual and community health and promote the ideals of religious freedom and unity. A special focus on the spiritual principle of “gratitude” will provide a foundation for a series of presentations from various traditions - Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Christian - including song, dance, drama, and more.
Donations will be accepted for Montgomery Public School students, including hygiene supplies, uniform items, and new socks and underwear. All donated items will go to school counselors to help local students succeed in their education.
