Fire Ant Sock

Fire ants are native to South America, but experts say they arrived in Mobile in the 1930s.  These "determined" little insects are sure to get the attention of anyone that crosses their path.  Fire ants are legendary!  They are celebrated in art work at Kentuck Art Center courtyard and in festivals across the south. They are even celebrated, if that term actually fits fire ants, in song by _________________________

Love them or hate them, fire ants are survivors. Alabama Public Radio survives because listeners just like you support us. This fall you will be eligible for a pair of special edition APR Fire Ant socks as a "thank you gift*" with a $120 Sustaining Pledge. Celebrate the news, classical music and more that Alabama Public Radio broadcasts everyday.

If one pair is not enough, you can purchase additional pairs at the low low price of $15 per pair.  You can even purchase a pair of Kudzu socks.  Both limited to supplies on hand.

*Value of the tax deduction will be reduced by the value of the socks.
