Alabama, Auburn win...Iron Bowl is next!

Both the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers handily defeated their opponents yesterday, setting up both teams for the annual Iron Bowl rivalry game next Saturday. Cyrus Jones returned two punts for touchdowns, the only Alabama player to do so since 1944, according to school records. Derrick Henry also scored twice as the Tide pounded Charleston Southern 56-6. For Auburn, Jeremy Johnson threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more scores to lead Auburn to a 56-34 victory over Idaho. The Vandals outgained the Tigers on yardage, but Auburn converted all six of its red-zone opportunities and scored three touchdowns. Alabama and Auburn will face off at Jordan-Hare stadium next Saturday in the much anticipated Iron Bowl.
