Bull Bash brings professional riders to Alabama

The Professional Bull Riders organization will be holding its only Alabama-based event in Dekalb County this weekend.

The annual PBR Bull Bash will return to Rainsville Friday and Saturday. The event will take place at the Northeast Alabama Agri-Business Center and will have 300 seats available both nights.

Ricky West, the stock contractor for the event, said that despite the town of Rainsville being small, the Bull Bash is still as entertaining as bigger bull riding events.

"A lot of folks don't realize it...we have a replay screen, high rows," West said. "I mean, it's just like any major bull ride you go to in Nashville and Atlanta."

Regular admission is $20 if you order tickets prior to the event and $25 if you pay at the door. VIP "elite seat" tickets are also sold for $45. West said this experience is worth the extra money.

"We're actually going to have bleachers on the arena floor for the fans to be able to be really up close and personal this year," he said. "Plus they get tours behind the scenes, see the bulls, the bull riders and get to visit with them.”

More information can be found at the Rainsville Bull Bash Facebook page.
