First known cases of monkeypox found in Alabama

The first two cases of monkeypox has been identified in Alabama. The Alabama Department of Public Health announced the cases on Friday.

Cases started to emerge in Europe and throughout the United States in the spring.

Most who get the disease experience fever, body aches, chills and fatigue. More serious cases have involved rashes and lesions on the face and hands.
