The Elusive Science of Predicting Hurricane Paths

Huge advances in hurricane prediction have been made in the years since Hurricane Andrew. NPR's Jon Hamilton is at the National Hurricane Center in Miami where researchers are tracking hurricane Frances and trying to predict where and how hard it will hit. He reports on the latest developments in hurricane science and technology - and why it's still proving so difficult to predict the intensity of the storm.
