Zach Lund competes in the FIBT Men's Skeleton World Cup Race, Nov. 17, 2005, in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Top-ranked American skeleton racer Zach Lund has been cleared by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency to compete in the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.

He had tested positive for a banned substance that is often used to mask steroid use, but he said he used it to treat balding.

Tom Goldman reports on Lund's effort to get back on the mountain.

Note: Despite being cleared by the U.S. officials, the International Olympic Committee gives Lund a one-year ban for drugs on Feb. 10, the opening day of the games.
