  • Dale Owen is the host of The Crooners for Alabama Public Radio.
  • Jeremy Butler has been a radio fan since the 1960s. When he went off to college in 1972, he quickly joined his college's radio station's staff. There he played what was called "progressive" rock and later he co-hosted the punk show, "Progressions," on the University of Alabama's student station. In 1993, he came to Alabama Public Radio with an idea for a new show featuring folk and singer-songwriter music, with an occasional international tune tossed into the mix. APR accepted Jeremy's pitch and "All Things Acoustic" became a fixture on Friday evenings.

  • Membership Coordinator Jackie Howell has been with Alabama Public Radio since 2001. This native Alabamian earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from The University of Alabama and worked in the Banking and Finance field right out of college. In fact when there were very few in the southeastern United States, Jackie was the first female stock broker in Tuscaloosa.

  • Peggy Lowe joined Harvest Public Media in 2011, returning to the Midwest after 22 years as a journalist in Denver and Southern California. Most recently she was at The Orange County Register, where she was a multimedia producer and writer. In Denver she worked for The Associated Press, The Denver Post and the late, great Rocky Mountain News. She was on the Denver Post team that won the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news coverage of Columbine. Peggy was a Knight-Wallace Fellow at the University of Michigan in 2008-09. She is from O'Neill, the Irish Capital of Nebraska, and now lives in Kansas City. Based at KCUR, Peggy is the analyst for The Harvest Network and often reports for Harvest Public Media.
  • Bob Woodman is a native of Tuscaloosa and a graduate of the University of Texas. After service as a naval officer, he went back to Texas to begin a 32-year career with the same company in commercial radio. Bob sold his radio stations in Texas in 1998 and returned to his native Tuscaloosa, where he joined Alabama Public Radio as a classical music host. Bob is married to the former Carole Gibson Neville of Tuscaloosa. His daughter, Summer McKinnon, and SIL Mike have two daughters, Juliette and Lexie.
