Homegrown Alabama / Kimberly Suits

September 23th 2015

Students are heading to the on campus farmers market, Homegrown Alabama. APR student reporter Kimberly Suits reports...

Tuscaloosa students who want to support local farmers have a chance to shop at the on campus market for another month. After October, the fall season for Homegrown Alabama will come to an end. The co-manager of Homegrown Alabama believes people want to support local farmers and have continued to do so. They say it is because a grocery store just can’t replace the fun of the market or the local produce. The October Homegrown Alabama markets are on the 9th, 16th, and 23rd from 3-6 pm. They’re located at the Episcopal Chapel lawn on 5th avenue in Tuscaloosa, off of Paul W Bryant road.
