The Wellhouse (trafficking survivor shelter near Birmingham)

We provide a safe residential environment to women, offering spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical support services. We welcome all women who have been sexually exploited through human trafficking. Regardless of race, color, creed, or religion, women in pain can be assured they will find love and acceptance at The Well House.

The Rose Center (A drop-in facility in Mobile)

Based in Mobile, Alabama, The Rose Center is a drop-in center for young women who are severely at risk for trafficking or already being exploited and it provides services ranging from job preparation, to group counseling, individual therapy, and more. The Rose Center serves as a bridge between the life of trafficking and the long-term care she needs to live an empowered life.

Safe Harbor Youth (a shelter for trafficked young people in the Huntsville area)

In four years, mort than 70 youth have entered th Safe Harbor Youth Transitional Living Program. Only once has a youth left the program to return to the streets.

Children’s of Alabama CHIPS program (Children’s Hospital Intervention and Prevention Services—in Birmingham)

CHIPS Center has been an outpatient center at Children’s of Alabama since 1995 where children who have experienced suspected abuse and their families impacted by suspected abuse can come for support, hope, and healing. The CHIPS staff is a team of specially trained licensed professional counselors, doctors, licensed social workers, and sexual assault nurse examiners (SANE).

The North Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force was formed to raise public awareness, educate the community, and advocate to effect change in local, regional, and state policies related to human trafficking.

With a special emphasis on sexual exploitation, the North Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force works with service providers, law enforcement, and other agencies and coalitions across north Alabama and the state to prevent human trafficking.
