Fyffe, AL – The DeKalb County town of Fyffe made news in 1989 when local residents reported a series of U-F-O sightings. Sixteen years later, the town is hoping to generate interest in another type of U-F-O. The Unforgettable Family Outing began Friday and lasts through Saturday. And flying objects will be there -- hot-air balloons are scheduled to fly at dawn and dusk. Melissa Hildreth helped plan the UFO Days Festival and says Fyffe thought it was time to capitalize on the notoriety it received during the U-F-O sighting craze.
