Second Suit Filed Over School Bus Crash

By Associated Press

Huntsville, AL – A second lawsuit was filed Tuesday in the Huntsville school bus crash in November. Crystalle McCrary was one of four Lee High School students who died in the accident when the bus plunged off an interstate overpass. Mark McDaniel, a lawyer for her family, filed a lawsuit late yesterday in Madison County Circuit Court. McDaniel's firm is representing 18 of the student victims. A similar suit was filed last week by Montgomery lawyer Jere Beasley on behalf of Nicole Ford, another of the teens killed in the accident. Defendants in the new suit include Laidlaw Transit Inc., which operates Huntsville's city school buses; the bus driver, Anthony Tyrone Scott; the teenage driver of a car involved in the accident; and other unnamed defendants. The suit seeks unspecified damages.
