Hubbard Taps Riley Aides To Work In His Office

Montgomery, AL – A former aide to Gov. Bob Riley, Josh Blades, has been named chief of staff for new Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard.

Blades was among several former members of Riley's staff named Tuesday by Hubbard to work in the office of the new Republican speaker. Blades was Riley's deputy chief of staff.

Riley's press secretary, Todd Stacy, will serve as communications director for Hubbard.

Other staff members named by Hubbard include Jason Isbell, legislative counsel; Sommer Vaughn, legislative analyst; Boone Kinard, policy analyst, and Erica McLain, executive assistant.

Vaughn, Kinard and McLain all worked on Riley's staff. Isbell has been on the staff of the Alabama Legislative Fiscal Office for the past 10 years.
