"THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG" OPENING SEPTEMBER 9!

Chickasaw Civic Theatre announces the Gulf Coast premiere of the Olivier and Tony Award-winning comedy "THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG"

What could go wrong with a show entitled "The Play That Goes Wrong?" Plenty. You have a missing dog, a set that isn't finished, a spotlight in the wrong place. And that is all before the show opens.
Once this play within a play starts we are seated to a performance by the Cornley Drama Society in their opening night production of "The Murder at Haversham Manor". The actors, despite all that goes wrong around them, are working hard to make sure they finish their production. Props go missing or picked up at the wrong time, the leading lady is unconscious, a corpse that won't stay dead, words getting mispronounced, and a scene where an actor can't remember his lines are only part of what makes "The Murder at Haversham Manor" go wrong.
"The Play That Goes Wrong" is all a farce. But to the Cornley Drama Society, this is serious stuff, which makes it even funnier to the audience or maybe they feel a tad sympathetic, as we are cheering them on to see their production through to the end.
