"The Weight of Waiting'' is a two person exhibition featuring the works of Erin LeAnn Mitchell and E.L. Chisolm that explores the interconnected themes of resilience, empowerment, and the transformative power of patience. The figures depicted carry the weight of their past and present while looking towards a hopeful future. The exhibition draws inspiration from Alice Walker’s, We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For, and serves as a call to action for personal and collective evolution.
