Agency for Substance Abuse Prevention Announces FBSS Training Conference in Muscle Shoals, Alabama
Muscle Shoals, AL – The Agency for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) is proud to announce an upcoming Faith-Based Support Specialist (FBSS) Training Conference to be held on April 16-17, 2026, at the Northwest Shoals Community College, Shoals Campus, Building 110, Room 104 located at 800 George Wallace Blvd, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661.
This two-day training, scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day, is designed for leaders of all faiths and community advocates who are passionate about addressing substance misuse and improving mental health outcomes in their communities. The conference will equip participants with vital tools, resources, and certification opportunities that strengthen the bridge between faith communities and behavioral health systems.
With engaging presentations, expert panels, and hands-on workshops, attendees will walk away empowered to serve as connectors between individuals in crisis and state-certified treatment and recovery resources.
This event is made possible through the support of the Alabama Department of Mental Health and the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts (FORE), in partnership with ASAP’s ongoing commitment to prevention through community collaboration.

Disco Nights is an evening event presented by Enable Madison County on Thursday, April 16, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Stovehouse Event Center in Huntsville. The event includes dinner, music, and a program highlighting Enable Madison County’s Aging in Place services for aging and homebound residents. Proceeds benefit programs that support residents living safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes throughout Madison County.
