Perfect weather, dynamic, informative exhibits, Earth-class entertainment - Grayson Capps Band, et al ! - and a very large number of very happy attendees! Join us on Earth Day Mobile Bay 2024 as an exhibitor, a participant, a volunteer or simply a visitor!
On Saturday, April 20th from 10am-9pm, the 2nd Annual Main Street Community Festival will be returning to Greensboro, Alabama for a day full of fun, activities, and community.
Hale County Hospital and thus, the Main Street Community Festival, are passionate about creating an inclusive and accessible environment that encourages all community members to engage with the arts, with health education, and with the vision of working together to improve our greater community. We believe that true community-centered health care must be complemented by programming, activities, and community partnerships, which is the basis for the Main St. Community Festival. The Main Street Community Festival’s objective is to create an open and inclusive community space for all members of the community to join in a day of health education, arts, music, healthy food demonstrations, and fun for all. Any and all planned activities by the Main Street Community Festival remain free and open to the entire community as to ensure all members of the community are able to participate.
The day will feature performances from local musicians coming from Selma, Uniontown, Greensboro, and Demopolis. A health fair will give visitors an opportunity to check their blood pressure, learn about healthy cooking practices, gain information on chronic conditions, and participate in exercise classes. A kids section will have bounce houses, scheduled readings, an instrument petting zoo, and lots more. On top of all of this, we will have craft, retail, and food vendors from around the state!
