OZARK, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say an Alabama man who shined a laser at a military aircraft was arrested following a foot chase in a wooded area near an airfield.

News outlets report Jacob Moseley was taken into custody Tuesday night after deputies were called to Cairns Army Airfield in Fort Rucker about the incident. When the Dale County Sheriff’s Office brought a helicopter to search for Moseley, a bright spotlight was also pointed at their aircraft. The crew was then able to locate Moseley by a house near the airfield and ultimately arrest him.

He has been charged with obstructing governmental operations. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
