Former Alabama police officer accused of sexual misconduct

A former police officer in Trussville has been arrested for engaging in sexual conduct with a female prisoner.

David Wayne Montgomery, 51, of Orange Beach was taken in by authorities in Jefferson County and is now out on a bond of $15,000.

Attorney General Steve Marshall's office said in a statement that Montgomery was accused of having sexual contact with a prisoner at the city jail.
