More than 65,000 vaccine doses wasted because of low uptake

Not enough Alabamians are getting vaccinated against COVID-19, causing tens of thousands of doses to be wasted.

State Health Official Scott Harris shared last week that 65,000 doses have been thrown away due to the state's low vaccination rate.

Just 34% of Alabamians are fully vaccinated, one of the lowest percentages in the country. But the amount of daily vaccinations has increased recently.
