Authorities in Blount County say that they have questioned the ex-FedEx employee they believe was responsible for dumping over 400 packages out into a wooded ravine in Hayden.

Sheriff Mark Moon says that his department was spoken with security personnel for FedEx as well. FedEx stated that they were cooperating with investigators after one of their drivers reportedly dumped hundreds of packages onto a private property in Hayden, and the driver identified by authorities is no longer employed with the company.

Local authorities believe the man made at least six different trips to discard the packages. FedEx is attempting to deliver the packages that are still in tact, and say they’re making efforts to reach agreements with customers over packages that are damaged.
