Cooper Townsend is a student intern with the Alabama Public Radio newsroom. He is a Senior Majoring in News media and has a Minor in Theater. He produced a feature on a fundraiser for research into Huntington’s Disease featuring the board game Heroclix. He’s currently researching an angle into the economic impact of what’s known as “AI collapse” in Alabama.

Chris Ahlf is a student intern in the Alabama Public Radio Newsroom. He previously worked as an undergraduate student intern at Troy Public Radio. He is a graduate student in journalism with a Community Journalism focus. Outside of the newsroom Chris enjoys singing, playing the guitar, and watching a good movie.

Arditi joins RIPR after more than three decades as a reporter, including 28 years at the ProJo, where she has covered a variety of beats, most recently health care. A native of New York City, she graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in government and has worked as a staff writer for The Center for Investigative Reporting in Washington, D.C. and as a reporter for the former Holyoke Transcript-Telegram in Massachusetts.

Nicholas Lewis is a Senior Producer at the Center for Public Television, where he develops and oversees short documentaries that highlight unique stories and voices from across Alabama and beyond. With a background in producing, editing, and guiding creative teams, Nicholas brings a thoughtful eye to both community-driven projects and client work. He also mentors student interns, helping the next generation of filmmakers grow their skills in storytelling and production. His work often blends an interest in character-driven narratives with an eye for unusual or overlooked subcultures, giving each project a distinctive sense of place and perspective.

APR Gulf Coast correspondent Mike Dumas is longtime reporter and photojournalist with the Mobile Press-Register and many other periodicals, Mike Dumas has more than 20 years of experience as a storyteller and has won several press awards for his coverage of breaking news events and feature stories. A native of Mobile, he currently lives in Daphne, AL.

Eva Tesfaye is a 2020 Kroc Fellow. She started in October 2020 and will spend the year rotating through different parts of NPR.
