  • Logan Fitzpatrick’s is an APR newsroom intern. Her favorite part of being on the team is investigating new stories and turning them into something that becomes interesting to listeners. In the future she would like to be a news anchor and reporter for a large station and possibly have her own show.

I’m currently a student intern at Alabama Public Radio, and my goal is to become a sideline reporter and eventually work with ESPN and College GameDay. Outside of school and reporting, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, shopping, and staying active.
  • Emily Ahearn is a student intern in the Alabama Public Radio Newsroom. She is a junior that is double majoring in News Media and Criminal Justice. Outside of the newsroom, Emily enjoys gymnastics, going to the beach and spending time with friends.
  • Cooper Townsend is a student intern with the Alabama Public Radio newsroom. He is a Senior Majoring in News media and has a Minor in Theater. He produced a feature on a fundraiser for research into Huntington’s Disease featuring the board game Heroclix. He’s currently researching an angle into the economic impact of what’s known as “AI collapse” in Alabama.
  • Lloyd Schwartz is the classical music critic for NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross.
  • Sara Hossaini is a reporter for Wyoming Public Radio. She holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She brings a blend of documentary journalism and public interest communications experience developed through her work as a nonprofit multimedia consultant and Associate Producer on national PBS documentary films through groups such as the Center for Asian American Media, Fenton Communications and The Working Group. She likes to travel, to get her hands in the dirt and to explore her creative side through music, crafts and dance.
  • Bill McQuay is an audio producer with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. For fifteen years McQuay was an NPR sound engineer and technical director for NPR programs including Morning Edition, Weekend Saturday and Sunday, Performance Today and NPR's Radio Expeditions. Radio Expeditions is where McQuay began his long time collaboration with NPR science correspondent Christopher Joyce, a creative relationship that continues today.
