Movie fans, producers, and directors have descended on Birmingham this week. The annual Sidewalk Film Festival is underway, with prize money as high as one thousand dollars up for grabs. Audience members will get to weigh in on the over two hundred movies being screened during the event.

The Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers is giving Alabama audiences a chance to learn more about Southern filmmakers and their processes. The tour is hosted by Sidewalk Film Center, a non-profit theater in downtown Birmingham.
