The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is looking to bring more diversity to the arts.
The Montgomery-based theater signed a deal with the historically Black college Alabama State University to provide opportunities for people of color to pursue and foster careers in the arts and develop into community leaders.
The two entities will offer internships, mentorships, professional training and class credits for education in the arts.
