Federal meal waivers were extended five days before their expected deadline yesterday. Alabama school kids will still be able to get free meals even though class is out for the summer. President Biden just signed the Keep Kids Fed Act on Saturday. The act extends free meal waivers to youngsters until the regular program picks up in the fall.

Travelers can expect to see a lot more traffic on the roads this coming Independence Day weekend. Flight Aware reports that almost seven thousand planes were delayed and close to nine hundred flights cancelled last Sunday alone. That one reason Alabama’s Triple-A is predicting heavy car traffic for the busy Fourth of July weekend.
