Airports big and small around the country are refusing to play a video with a message from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in which she blames Democrats for the federal government shutdown and its impacts on Transportation Security Administration operations. The list now includes Alabama.

The Alabama Department of Transportation is announcing more than $485,000 in state funding is going toward improving three municipal airports in the state. The grants are made possible through the department's Alabama Airport Improvement Funding Program.
