The University of South Alabama Concert Choir and University Chorale will present their Fall Choral Concert on Tuesday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. The concert will feature both vocal ensembles performing music spanning several historical eras, styles and languages. The program will be conducted by Dr. Laura Moore.
Tickets for this Musical Arts Series event will be sold at the door only. Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens (cash or card accepted).

Dr. Peter Wood will present a USA Faculty Trumpet Recital on Thursday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Collaborative pianist and USA faculty Dr. Robert Holm will join Dr. Wood in this performance.

The USA Piano Ensembles will perform their Fall Concert on Thursday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Piano ensemble music traditionally features works written for one-piano four-hands, two-pianos four-hands, and even two-pianos eight-hands. Come to the concert and find out which combinations will be utilized! The Piano Ensembles are directed by Dr. Robert Holm.

The USA Percussion Ensemble will perform their Fall Concert on Monday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. In addition to established music from the percussion ensemble repertoire, this concert will feature a performance by the Jaguar Drumline. The ensemble is directed by Dr. Brian Nozny and Mr. Matthew Greenwood.

The USA Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble will present an "Octubafest” Concert on Wednesday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Directed by Dr. Clayton Maddox, the USA Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble will perform a wide range of musical genres. The ensemble is composed of students from Dr. Maddox’s studio, non-music major students, and special guests.

USA Opera Theatre will present "The All-American Story Book" on Friday, November 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 9 at 3:00 p.m. Both events will take place in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall, directed by USA faculty Dr. Thomas Rowell.

The USA Symphony Orchestra will perform their Fall Concert on Tuesday, November 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. USA's Orchestra is under the direction of Leonard Ligon.

Attendees will be entertained with music from the iconic Excelsior Band, The Jazz Studio and The Jazz Studio Alumni. Food, drinks and live auction are just a little highlights of the Excesior Band's 142nd anniversary celebration. Keep the Music Playing is the Excelsior Band Preservation's inaugural fundraiser. Funds generated will be used to further implement the board's mission of preserving the Excelsior Band's history and preserving its future. The Jazz Studio, a program of The Excelsior Band Preservation, in its 11th year, provides bimonthly music training emphasizing jazz for Mobile area youth, grades 6th-12th.c.edu/ Make plan to attend and support this worthwhile project.
