Student Orientation Session for incoming students: We will review all the essential information to ensure a successful start, including Academic policies, Attendance requirements, Dress Code and our digital Learning Management System. You will also get a guided tour of the campus and classrooms to help you find your way around, alongside dedicated support to set up your new laptop. We look forward to sharing some fun moments together as well!

Opened in 2014, the Ross Medical Education Center Huntsville campus is located just off of Research Park Blvd across from Madison Square Mall. The campus is also situated right off University Drive in the hub of several shopping centers including Wal-Mart, Target, and Best Buy and just five minutes from Bridge Street Town Centre.

Get ready to celebrate the season at the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion Fall Market in Mobile, Alabama! On Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the iconic historic estate will open its beautiful, oak-canopied grounds for a festive daytime market.
This casual, kid-friendly event is the perfect opportunity to support local artisans while enjoying a beautiful autumn day. Visitors can browse a wide selection of vendors offering unique arts and crafts, seasonal clothing, local honey, and sweet treats. Local food trucks will be on-site serving up delicious bites.

Rebekah and Matthew Atkinson, the Gulf Coast’s professional sister/brother harp and violin team, will appear in concert for a musical celebration of joy and gratitude for God’s faithfulness and provision. They will be joined for this program by pianist/organist Benjamin Rollings (music director, St. Francis at the Point) and violinist Benjamin Hart (assistant concertmaster, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra), accomplished performers who will greatly add to the energy, excitement, and artistry of the afternoon.
The audience can expect to hear a wide variety of classical music styles, from Elgar’s emotional, deeply moving Nimrod (Enigma Variations) to Sarasate’s highly virtuosic and fiery Spanish dance for two violins, Navarra. This concert will also include many beloved hymns such as “Praise to the Lord”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Great is thy Faithfulness”.
You won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind, musical celebration on October 11th at 3:00 p.m. at St. Francis at the Point Anglican Church. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted.

Join us on October 11, 2026, at 5pm at The Haunted Book Shop for an evening with Lagniappe's Kevin Lee to celebrate his book Sinners Above All Others: Seedy and Sordid Tales from Mobile's Underbelly. With a book signing and in-conversation, Kevin and guests will explore the darker side of Mobile through its most notorious crimes, as detailed in Lee’s comprehensive collection.

Sinners Above All Others includes expanded accounts of Mobile’s most infamous crimes, originally chronicled by Lagniappe over the past two decades. Starting from the early misdemeanors of the Le Moyne brothers to heinous acts that marked the 20th century, this book paints a vivid picture of the intrigues and societal undercurrents that shaped Mobile. Each chapter, whether it’s the tale of the 1923 Whiskey Ring, the arrest of a Manson Family member here in Mobile, the bizarre life of serial killer Joseph Paul Franklin, or other infamous crimes, sheds light on the profound impact these events had on the community and the historical fabric of the city.

Attendees will have the chance to engage directly with Kevin Lee, gaining insights into his research and writing process, and perhaps discussing the fascinating crimes themselves. Following the discussion, there will be a book signing session. This event is a must-attend for true crime enthusiasts, history buffs, and anyone intrigued by the stories that lurk in the shadows of Mobile’s past.

Mobile Vocal Arts – an intergenerational Choral Society opportunity offered to the residents of Mobile and Baldwin Counties – is beginning its 27th season on Monday, August 18th, 2025.
This choral organization has given performances in Carnegie Hall and in European capitals on several occasions. Membership in the Choral Society is open to all interested individuals who love to sing and who are open to performing a wide range/variety of music genre/concerts. There is NO membership fee.
Rehearsals are held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church located at 1050 Azalea Road in Mobile. Rehearsals begin at 7:00 p.m. Mobile Vocal Arts prepares and presents approximately – five to six concerts in their ten and a half-month season that begins in late August and runs to late June.
