The University of South Alabama Symphony Band will present the first concert of "An Evening of Band Music" on Thursday, October 1, at 6:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Dr. Robert D. Abend will conduct the Symphony Band in a program featuring Malcolm Arnold's Prelude, Siciliano, and Rondo, along with additional works.

Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, and all your favorite board game murder suspects take to the stage in this hilarious and chilling whodunit based on both the Hasbro classic and the motion picture. At an unusual dinner party, a sordid assortment of deadly weapons find their way into the hands of our motley crew. When the host turns up dead, the guests use every campy rule at their disposal to riddle their way to the truth!

Join us every first Saturday of the month at The Sanctuary – Jubilee Community Center for a joyful and inclusive Community Drum Circle. This is a welcoming space where people of all ages and musical abilities can come together to create unified rhythms, connect with others, and celebrate community through music.
Whether you stay for the full session or drop in for a while, you’ll be part of something uplifting and energizing. No musical experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and spirit.
We’ll have some extra drums, sticks, and shakers available, but feel free to bring your own percussion instruments (sticks, shakers, small boxes, plastic bowls, or simply your hands!).

For us, that's reason to celebrate! Join us for the Ghost Me, Maybe launch party on October 3, 2026, at 5pm at 9 S Joachim. With Manda, refreshments, and a signing, the highlight of this event will be the in-conversation with Manda! We will discuss what it was like to create this romance meets Scooby Doo romp, her writing process, and what it's like creating the scenes that get us all hot and bothered.

Reservations for this event are encouraged as seating is limited. Book purchase from The Haunted Book Shop is required to enter the signing line. Don't fret though, you can easily purchase the book through the Eventbrite ticket reservation system.
