The Crimson Tide saw some improvement in the AP Top 25 following a 45-17 come from behind win over Kentucky. But, it was the earthquake at the top of college football that may be remembered this week.

Keelon Russell threw for 188 yards and a touchdown to help No. 12 Alabama beat Kentucky 45-17 on Saturday in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams. Russell overcame two interceptions in the first half as the Crimson Tide (2-0) overcame a 17-13 halftime deficit, outscoring the Wildcats (1-1) 32-0 in the second half

Alabama handled life on the road far better in Kalen DeBoer’s second season than his first. After going 2-3 in true road games in 2024, the Crimson Tide improved to 5-1 last season. Now, Kentucky awaits as 12th-ranked Alabama’s first road test of 2026.

Aden Holloway tied a career-high with 26 points, Labaron Philon Jr. added 17 points and No. 14 Alabama beat Kentucky 89-74 on Saturday. Kentucky fought back from a 21-point deficit, cutting the lead to single digits, 77-68, with 5:38 to play. But the Wildcats were outscored 12-6 down the stretch, with all but two of the Crimson Tide's points being scored by Holloway and Philon.

Labaron Philon scored 21 points and fifth-ranked Alabama never trailed in routing number fifteen Kentucky 99-70 on Friday night to advance to the Southeastern Conference Tournament semifinals. The Crimson Tide will play fourth-ranked Florida looking to play for their second tournament title in three seasons.

The Alabama Crimson Tide punched its ticket to the Southeastern Conference tournament with last week’s buzzer beater over cross state rival Auburn. Kentucky won its chance to play the Crimson Tide just last night with a win over Oklahoma. Otega Oweh made a baseline jumper with 0.5 seconds left after No. 15 Kentucky had blown a late lead in the final minutes and the Wildcats beat Oklahoma 85-84 on Thursday night to advance to the Southeastern Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

Alabama is back in the win column after defeating Kentucky at home ninety six to eighty three. Star guard Mark Sears scored thirty as the number four ranked Crimson Tide bounced back from losses to Auburn and Missouri. Chris Youngblood added fourteen points in the win of the number seventeen ranked Wildcats.
