Alabama officials say two people died and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving a bus carrying people to a school for disabled adults and children. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says the crash happened on Monday morning in Lee County.

Registration is open for an annual fundraising effort that benefits the Lee County Special Olympics and its athletes. The 13th Annual Auburn Polar Plunge is set for Saturday, Jan. 18. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the City of Auburn’s Samford Pool.

Photo submissions for the 2024 Juried Photography Exhibition in Auburn are now being accepted. Photographers currently residing in Alabama and in Georgia counties adjacent to Lee County are eligible to submit their work. All entries are due by Oct. 17 with a fee of $40.
