City Center Art for high school students is a rigorous multi-media art class with a balance of foundations/essential skills and independent projects. With guidance from the teaching artist, students will increase their observational drawing skills, further their technical control of various mediums and develop and execute individually conceived projects to further their technical control of various mediums and strengthen their conceptual skills.

In addition, students will learn about art-related careers and opportunities. Juniors and seniors receive guidance for college applications and essays while building visual arts portfolios to increase college opportunities.

All skill levels are welcome.

Dinner & BINGO event featuring live music and cash bar. Proceeds from the event benefit FOCUS 50+ programs for senior adults.

Mobile Vocal Arts – an intergenerational Choral Society opportunity offered to the residents of Mobile and Baldwin Counties – is beginning its 27th season on Monday, August 18th, 2025.
This choral organization has given performances in Carnegie Hall and in European capitals on several occasions. Membership in the Choral Society is open to all interested individuals who love to sing and who are open to performing a wide range/variety of music genre/concerts. There is NO membership fee.
Rehearsals are held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church located at 1050 Azalea Road in Mobile. Rehearsals begin at 7:00 p.m. Mobile Vocal Arts prepares and presents approximately – five to six concerts in their ten and a half-month season that begins in late August and runs to late June.

Why dread the horror of back-to-school when you could celebrate with us and ADAM CESARE at The Haunted Book Shop on August 25th? Yes, you read that correctly. Adam Cesare is coming to Mobile as part of his national tour for book four in the series, "Lights! Camera! Frendo!"

After the signing, Adam and select ticket holders will head down the street to the Crescent Theater for a special screening of the slasher film Clown in a Cornfield, followed by a Q&A with Adam. The fun officially starts at 5:30PM at The Haunted Book Shop, but Alchemy Tavern will start slinging their Adam Cesare-themed cocktails earlier that afternoon to get you in a festive mood. There's nothing scary about an Alchemy cocktail.
