Space One Eleven’s summer art camps are a perfect way for young artists to learn a new art form or improve upon their art skills! These camps give young artists ample time to dive into their projects, make friends, and create finished pieces of work for the end-of-summer student and teaching artist exhibition. All camps are taught by practicing artists in Space One Eleven’s professional art studios.

For the 10-15-year-old who has never picked up a guitar but wants to learn how to play in an encouraging environment, our Guitar Camp for Beginners will guide you through guitar basics like chords, strumming, reading, tuning, and best practice habits to get you playing real songs by the end of the week!

Stars Preschool Music Camp is the perfect way for your little one to have lots of fun exploring musical concepts in a creative environment. Each child will learn the basics of music theory, like dynamics, tempo, and pitch, while getting an introduction to singing, and playing the piano and percussion instruments. There will also be time for crafts and musical movement! This camp is suggested for 3 to 5-year-olds who are potty-trained.

Exploreum 21+ After Hours Featuring: Friday the 13th
Step into the darkness for a 21+ After Hours event at the Exploreum Science Center on Friday, June 13th from 6:00-10:00pm. With an immersive and eerie showing of Friday the 13th in the PCI Digital Dome Theater, you’re going to be sorry you ever came to Camp Crystal Lake at the Exploreum.
Before the movie, join us for all things slasher science as we explore the disturbing realities of human anatomy, forensics, and all things fear. “Campers” will even get to partake in their favorite summertime ritual, blood-spatter bandanas to take home after camp…assuming you survive Friday the 13th.
Frank N’ Lola’s will be parked out front with their award-winning burgers for a delicious dinner before the movie starts at 7:30pm.
This is a BYOB (beer, one six-pack max) and BYOW (wine, one bottle max) event, so feel free to bring your favorite wine or beer; please drink responsibly. Your ticket includes light refreshments and one raffle ticket, giving you a chance to win something special.
As a 21+ event, proof of age must be shown at the door.Online tickets cost $20 for non-members and $15 for members.
